  I got an estimate from Charles, the owner of Affordable Plumbing at the end of July to do the plumbing on a remodeling job I was planning for my master bathroom. I wanted the toilet moved, a shower put in to replace a fiberglass tub/shower combo, and two sink faucets installed. His estimate was in the $1,000 range.
  He worked on the project when he found time, evenings and weekends, and did other jobs he took after he took mine first. It wasn't until October 16th that he finished doing what he needed to do, so that the tile person could do his work, but by that time the tile person had accepted two other jobs.
  The total for the work was greater than $1,000, and the the toilet had not been moved, or the faucets installed. I don't think he planned on doing the other two items for free.
  So, beware of his estimates, and get a date for the work to be started and completed in writing.
